Aromas of oak, sherry and vanilla, the palate is vanilla, pepper, and blackcurrants with a medium long finish of pepper, vanilla and oak. Easy and simple and very enjoyable.

Some rust to the tin lid but the bottle is immaculate. A devastating fire in 1898 destroyed much of the distillery and its whisky, but it was promptly rebuilt with modern equipment by Charles Doig. It was sold to S. Campbell & Sons Ltd in 1945 and later became part of the Pernod Ricard group in 1974, which helped establish its strong market presence in France

40% ABV

100cl
