Dràm Mòr is an independent spirits bottler established in 2019 by husband and wife team Kenny and Viktorija Macdonald.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAuchroisk [pronounced Orth-rusk] is one of Diageo’s ‘nutty-spicy’ sites.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere the heavy character is produced by rapid mashing, quick fermentation and, in the wash stills, a rapid boiling regime which almost cooks the solids and allows controlled carryover of some solids. This almost singed character [shared with Blair Athol] is most obvious at new make but recedes with maturation, being replaced by a balanced honeyed cereal sweetness.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 20px;\"\u003eTasting Notes\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003csection\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNose : Sweet vanillas mixes with lavender and violet in a posie of summer flowers and well aged whisky. A combination of old leather bound books and marshmallows. Ooph! Vibrantly sweet, soft and rich. Dates, succulent sultanas, muscovado sugar and chilli. It wraps itself around your taste buds and refuses to let go. On a second visit (and it is easy to revisit) that 1st fill bourbon cask really starts to show itself with the multilayered vanilla and warming spice coming to the fore.
