A big muddle of various funky influences that include, but are not limited to: proper floor malted barley, interesting yeasty fermentation stuff, 'warmer than Scotland' climate maturation and big punchy Stout cask fingerprints.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has been bottled at natural cask strength and tastes like marmite and banana sandwich eau de vie!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eAbout Bimber\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBimber Distillery was founded by whisky lovers, with a mission to produce high-quality single malt whisky with character, using traditional methods that are rarely seen today.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe journey begins at their single farm, where 100% of their barley is grown. It is then traditionally floor malted, hand-mashed and fermented slowly for seven days in their wooden washbacks that were hand-made at their own cooperage. Bimber uses direct fire to heat the small copper pot stills, and matures the spirit in hand-selected casks. The whisky is also bottled on site.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTheir hand-crafted approach to whisky production passionately combines traditional methods, expertise and commitment to quality.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBimber’s first casks were laid down on the 26th May 2016 and they released their inaugural single malt whisky (The First) three years later in September of 2019 – the limited release of 1,000 hand numbered bottles sold out in 3 hours.
