It is - in other words - a small piece of Thornaes history, carefully selected from the stocks of maturing whiskies.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe first release is a Double Cask Whisky that has spent its first 13 months in new Danish oak and then up to 25 months in a Bourbon cask of white American oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe maturation in the Danish oak took place in small 50 liter casks, which created the foundation of the whiskey and gave it both lots of toffee and warm spices, but also good complexity with notes of pepper and mild tobacco.
