Produced at the Nagahama distillery, this Amahagan release was produced to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy XIV. This world blended expression represents Ul'dah, the city of sand. It was crafted using a blend of malt and grain whiskies that have been sourced from distilleries from across the world, which have been aged in wine and sherry casks. Part of a limited release, this whisky was bottled at a strength of 47% abv.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the rebirth of Final Fantasy XIV, this collaborative series of whiskies expresses the three cities where the adventure began with the taste of whisky. Ul’dah, the City of Sand, is a trading city-state that dominates a desolate desert area. The city is a bustling place, full of entertainment facilities such as pits and amusement centers, where Narzal, the god of commerce with two sides, is worshipped as the patron god. The image of the intermingling of different cultures brought in through trade is expressed with the complexity and depth created by the blend of wine and sherry barrel alcohol. The “jewel” symbol of Ul’dah’s wealth, which is also depicted on the national flag, was used to accent the sparkling sherry cask-aged blended whiskey.

The image of the mixing of different cultures brought about through trade is expressed through the complexity and depth created by blending wine cask aged liquor with sherry cask aged liquor.

Inspired by the jewel that symbolizes Ul'dah's wealth and is also depicted on the city's flag, we used a glittering sherry cask-aged blended whiskey as an accent to finish the bottle.
