Released during Feis Ile 2015 to celebrate Ardbeg's 200th anniversary, this is a blend of old and young whisky, matured in both bourbon and sherry casks, delivering the classic Ardbeg note of cured meats, smoke and sea spray.

In 1815, the Ardbeg distillery was founded by John McDougall on the Isle of Islay. In 2015, Ardbeg Perpetuum was released during Fèis Ìle 2015 in celebration of their 200th anniversary. Dr. Bill Lumsden has created a full-bodied Islay single malt, rich in coastal peat, smoked meat and well-rounded vanilla notes, using a blend of whiskies both young and old, matured in both bourbon and Sherry casks. Here’s to the first 200 years - and to the next 200 years too!

The past, present and future in a glass... Classic notes of Ardbeg's yesteryear on the nose as mellow, rich and enticing Ardbeggian flavours mingle with dark chocolate, treacle and nutty oak.

Then, like standing on Ardbeg's pier this morning, water brings forth briny sea-spray with a pine resin lime top note for a remarkably fresh bouquet. On the palate, robust peat smoke and savourt smoky bacon meet creamy sweet vanilla, milk chocolate with the hint of sherry casks, culminating in a taste of the future... an aftertaste that is never-ending...
