The sixth release of Tempest – Bowmore’s cask-strength 10-year-old. Aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, the emphasis is on tropical-fruit character. A peaty, smoky and fruity dram with great balance.

Aged for a decade in first-fill bourbon casks, with Bowmore's No. 1 Vaults' wall to protect it from the crashing waves beyond, Bowmore Tempest encapsulates all the rugged, stormy sea qualities associated with the weather-beaten distillery. As complex as they come, this golden-coloured treasure still retains Bowmore's differentiating quality - perfect balance. Bowmore Tempest is released in small batches, this being batch VI (6).

Nice to see a cask strength Bowmore within the usual range we are gifted with. It is all great but when one has a chance to has a stronger version of something they love.... only good things come.
