Released for Caol Ila's 175th anniversary, this limited edition bottling is a superb celebration of one of Scotland's most-loved distilleries. This single malt has spent 24 years quietly maturing in Islay's largest distillery before being bottled at 52.1% abv and limited to 3000 bottles.

Inspired by every sunrise Islay has seen since the opening of the east-facing Caol Ila distillery in 1846, this 175th anniversary release is a warm and welcoming expression. This single malt is encased in a bespoke box that features an illustration of the Caol Ila puffer boat's journey to the mainland, illuminated by the early morning sunrise.

TASTING NOTES

Aroma: Intense with smoke and ash. Plus sweet oak and a fruity note of oranges.

Taste: Powerful and intense on the tongue. Initially sweet and smoky with ripe oranges and licorice. Then peppery and spicy as well as a maritime note of salt.

Finish: Long-lasting and intense. Again a good balance between sweet smoke, pepper and oak.
