A marriage of 3 casks! (hence the name chaos although nowadays it is becoming more and more common)

The third batch of Chaos from North Star Spirits holds true to the bottling's original intent of great Islay single malts at reasonable prices - but throws a little chaos of its own into the recipe, as this batch combines an ex-bourbon hogshead and four ex-ruby port octaves together with a single sherry butt, all from the same distillery. After blending these, the batch is reduced to 50% ABV, to produce 1400 bottles of this rich clash between salty smoky notes and deep red fruits.

TASTING NOTES

Aromas of black pepper, peat, orange peel and sea salt fill the nose, complemented by notes of jammy fruits, earthy berries, raisins, praline, peat and sea breezes throughout the palate.
