Dalmunach 7 Year Old 2016 Dram Mor Single 1st Fill Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrel #670 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2024) 70cl
1 of 254 bottles
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Goldenrod
Nose: Just what you would expect from such a juicy Bourbon cask. Deliciously laden with rich sweet vanilla and caramel toffee, cereal, pear drops with the addition of caramelised pecan nuts and just a hint of toasted coconut and dare a say right at the back a hint of fresh menthol. Spiritous, young and lively.
Palate: Not as sweet as the nose would suggest that it would be. Honeyed and buttery with a little bit of liquorice and gentian. All notes wrapping around each other but with one addition as there is a delicate green tobacco leaf hiding in the background. Simple and elegant.
Finish: It is a tingling, refreshing and big spice finish that sees a little bit of drying vanilla mix with gentle Szechuan pepper. Lots of pleasant heat for a dram of only 7 years old it is quite a sip that lingers!
About Dram Mor
Dràm Mòr is an independent spirits bottler established in 2019 by husband and wife team Kenny and Viktorija Macdonald. The company started as an export agency for Scottish brands, but as demand for independent, high-quality spirits increased, we decided it was time to venture into the world of independent bottling. They provide bespoke single cask spirits to 14 countries worldwide and they're delighted to grow the business portfolio to include a range of spirits along with carefully selected whiskies. Today, their products can be found in specialty spirits retailers, Michelin Star restaurants, and bespoke wine and gourmet outlets worldwide. Viktorija and Kenny both have backgrounds working for Whisky companies and are the co-founders of the Mòr Whisky Club held at Oran Mòr, Glasgow.
