Deanston is a medium sized distillery with a capacity of 3 million litres of alcohol per year. It began operating in 1966 in a former cotton mill.
The company says the meter thick of the maturing warehouse create the perfect conditions for ageing whisky regardless of the season. Deasonton is the backbone of the Scottish Leader blend which sells more than 6 million bottles a year, and in recent years the opoularity of the local single malt has been growing.
