Very rare bottlings that seem to sell out to a small amount of people. Edradour isn't that marketed so it is discovered along the way and then retains a hugely loyal following.

They are known for making high quality sherry bombs at cask strength rather than massing up 40% bottles. Not often space for these at duty free, yet are always a hit at festivals. This dram is one hell of a sherry bomb.

Bought by Andrew Symington, owner of independent bottler Signatory in 2002, Edradour has lead a colourful life. At one point Mafia boss Frank Costello was its US Sales Representative when it produced its King's Ransom blend. The distillery now releases both an unpeated Edradour & the peated Ballechin. Once marketed as the smallest distillery in Scotland and set by an idyllic burn in the rolling Highland hills, Edradour has expanded its warehouse capacity significantly - with Signatory's bottling taking place on site since 2007 - and has a new stillhouse & a fancy tasting room.

Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2019. After having tried a few of these, i can tell you that Edradour does not disappoint regardless of the age statement.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sherry & lots of it

Palate: A load more sherry that mouth coats and reminds you of other sherry bombs out there

Finish: Memories of .... well.. sherry (As you can tell, WSET education at its finest & money well spent!)
Once you buy Edradour you don't really look back & you will buy more of it. That much is certain.
