Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2023) 70cl

A full 60% abv, yet the sweet, rich, spicy distillery character is still very much in evidence. A very small drop of water is recommended to open up the flavours.

Considered by some to be one of the world's greatest whiskies, Glenfarclas 105 is a turbo charged Sherry monster on steroids. If you are looking for "smooth" then look elsewhere. If you love whiskies that pack a punch then this is the dram for you! Bottled at a mightly 60% ABV this is a bold and assertive whisky packed with flavour.

TASTING NOTES

Nose - Complex, oaky with apples and pears and a tempting dark toffee sweetness.

Palate - Dry and assertive. The flavours develop quickly to reveal a rich spiciness, combined with a hint oak and sherried fruit.

Finish - Amazingly smooth for the strength. Wonderfully warming with a lingering spiciness, yet very rounded.
