A Germany Exclusive rich sherry matured Glenfarclas in all its glory. A limited edition celebrating the inspiration for Robinson Crusoe. the story is quite marvellous really. The guy is double crossed and left on an island and rescued 5 years later on.

Still in family hands since it was founded, the Glenfarclas Distillery is one of Speyside's independent whisky producers. The Grant family has been running Glenfarclas since 1860, producing an individual Speyside malt that many whisky enthusiasts number as one of their favourites. The water source is melt water from the slopes of Ben Rinnes which runs through granite and heather before reaching Glenfarclas (meaning 'the valley of green grass'). With a long history of bottlings stretching back to the early 20th Century, both proprietary and independent bottlings are much sought-after.

Glenfarclas is considered by many to be one of the finest distilleries in Speyside. Its direct-fired stills produce a heavy single malt that is almost exclusively matured in Jerez sherry casks. The distillery focuses on single malt over blends, and a cool microclimate around the distillery that means that their casks are particularly stingy to the "angels," resulting in an incredible depth of stock. Glenfarclas also feel they share some credit for the modern day love of cask strength whisky, introducing their acclaimed 105 proof expressions back in 1968.

This is a special release bottling of vintage Glenfarclas for the German market. Distilled in 1990, this was bottled in 2013. This is the seventeenth in an exclusive series and features the Scottish privateer and Royal Navy officer, Alexander Selkirk.
