From Suntory’s mountain forest distillery, nestled deep in Mt. Kaikomagatake, Suntory Single Malt Whisky Hakushu® is the crisp and gently smoky single malt whisky with herbal notes that is the revelation of Japanese single malts.

First launched in 2006 and from the lesser known of the two Suntory owned distilleries (the other the mighty Yamazaki) and was at one point in the 1980's the largest distillery in the world! The 18 year old is aged in 1st and 2nd fill European oak.

Matured in oak casks for 18 years, it has a beautiful malty and fruity flavour, making it one of the best Japanese whiskies available today. If you're looking for an outstanding whisky with real character, look no further than Hakushu 18 year old.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Ripe pear, dried mint, oregano, hint of smoke

Palate: Jasmine, mango, quince, menthol

Finish: Long, pleasantly smoked, hint of bitterness
