This is Whisky Sponge Edition No. 97, a 30 year old, individually refilled Hogshead 1994 Isle of Jura single malt, bottled at natural cask strength.

As Decadent Drinks approached the final editions of the Whisky Sponge series, Decadent wanted to focus on and celebrate the distilleries and profiles they really love. And there aren't many places as dear to Decadent Drinks' hearts as Islay and the Isle of Jura. Decadent Drinks deliberately sought out two single casks (the other cask being Bruichladdich's Sponge #96) from these two beautiful islands, both unpeated and both fully matured on the islands.

Decadent Drinks are quite pleased with the results and find them part of a fitting final edition of Sponges. This is pure, distillate-driven, charismatic, well-aged Jura of the old school. Like a bone-dry, aged Chenin Blanc, it is a pure, mineral, waxy, herbal and complex whisky, balancing subtlety and elegance with lively coastal and island character. *Specially rescued from the tentacles of the Caramel Kraken, for your pleasure and enjoyment.*
