Hioko Pot Still - What?

New style of Japanese whisky inspired by Irish pot still whisky. We distil this whisky from both malted and un-malted barley at our Hioki Distillery in stainless steel pot stills under vacuum pressure. The whisky is then matured at our Kanosuke Distillery warehouse in both new American white oak casks and ex-Bourbon barrels and then bottled at 61% ABV, to offer an enriched, cask strength version of our pot still whisky.

TASTING NOTES

Rich, intense flavour, like a thick slice of toast topped with vanilla ice cream and marmalade.

COLOUR: Deep amber

NOSE: Apricot, Plum jam, Vanilla, Buttered toast

PALATE: Rich vanilla, Salted caramel, Marmalade

FINISH: Long rich with sweetness and touch of spice
