Laphroaig Four Oak is a surprising Laphroaig bottling that matures in up to four types of cask, ex-bourbon, virgin oak, quarter cask and European oak. Of course, the taste influences of these casks go hand in hand with the classic Laphroaig style; the whisky is powerful and full of character.

The aroma is spicy with influences of vanilla and peat. The taste contains tones of seaweed, ash and sandalwood, which alternate with influences of peat. The finish is slightly salty with notes of liquorice and peat.

Laphroaig Four Oak is a single malt whisky from the Laphroaig distillery on Islay, Scotland. The brand has a rich history dating back to 1815, when it was founded by brothers Donald and Alexander Johnston.

The place where it is produced

The Laphroaig distillery is located on the south coast of Islay, which is known for its peaty and smoky whiskies. The whisky's unique flavour is due to the local water source, the peat used to dry the malted barley and the sea breeze that blows through the warehouses where the whisky is aged.

Laphroaig Four Oak is a complex whisky with several layers of flavour. The aroma profile shows an intense smoke and peat aroma, along with hints of vanilla and citrus. On the palate it is full and powerful, with flavours of caramel, oak, smoke and a hint of salt. The finish is long and warm, with a mild sweetness.
