Linkwood 2008 13 Year Old Auld Goonsy's Malt 70cl (1 of 257 bottles)

This Speysider hails from the Linkwood distillery. A single American oak cask (#23940) was filled 19th March 2009. Allowed to mature for 13 years, before being bottled 11th April 2022. Limited to 235 bottles.

Nose: Melon, fruit salad and apple cake

Palate: Apricot marmalade, oaky and peppery notes.

Finish: Floral, slightly spicey with notes of mixed peel.

The main focus of the Auld Goonsy range is Single Cask bottlings, where a panel of 'auld yins' have selected the casks along with bottling them. Most of the casks are bottled at cask strength, a few of the casks are bottled at a strength that the panel feel is just right for that release.
