An independently bottled cask of Macallan that simply in truth, lost a little more to the angels than we would all like, bought a little lower, and priced per bottle significantly below the same that is asked for a 25 Year Old Macallan.

I offer you now, the opportunity to pick one up either to drink or hold & be married to for placing on a shelf for a long while. But either way, the liquid inside is what it is..... delicious, stronger than the 43% we always get given. Ideally I hope you are an FBI director who offers everyone "scotch" in a decanter & whether they accept or not, you have one yourself at 10am when they come to meet you, or a criminal boss who just happens to have this at the desk & has a dram or two when someone upsets them. Either way, this is the perfect aged oak dram for you in a Hogshead Sherry Cask much lower than if the bottle simply had the usual Macallan 25 & small ribbon on it.

This whisky was raised next to his brothers and sisters however, didn't do so well at Whisky school & was taken out from the Whisky Warehouse earlier to be bottled. Maybe the one closest to the door ironically. The result is the same. Out sooner & unruly. Here the whisky is ready for you. Only 48 bottles made.

In a serious world, the whisky tastes like a heavily sherried Macallan with more wood influence. I have tried a 25 at 43% and this cannot be worse. It should be better. The cask is verified, distilled in December 1993 & non chill filtered. Bottled in January 2018.

The taste of this probably reflects the 25 in finding a balanced Sherry vs Oak ratio although being 4.8% higher than the norm should mean to recreate the same as the 25, at £2100 you should add a few drops of water in a dram of this to make 35ml for every 30 you pour to keep like for like and make it last about

700ml by 30ml is 23.3 makes its £54 for a 30ml.
43% is 11% lower than 47.8% - This means you would have to spend about £2300 on a bottle to obtain the same as the contents of this £1250 bottle of Macallan. You technically save £1000.
