This Macallan M Decanter Release 2020 MMXX is the 8th masterpiece of the strictly limited M series from the Scottish Macallan distillery. This series is the top collection of the Macallan Decanter series and is only available to a very select group of dealers in very small quantities. This incredibly impressive single malt whiskey presents a whiskey that is hard to beat in terms of individuality and exclusivity. The official tasting note of the Macallan M Decanter:

COLOR: Amber NOSE: Date, fig, ginger nutmeg, baked apple, butter dough, anise and fondant. Antique oak, fresh tobacco and a slight nutty note.

FLAVOR: Ginger and nutmeg dance across the tongue before giving way to a medley of sticky date, baked apple, orange oil and dark chocolate. Vanilla fondant and a rich oak aroma come through fleetingly before the wood spices return with a hint of coconut.

FINISH: Rich, warming woody spices in a lingering ginger and raisin finish.

This Macallan is one of the darkest whiskeys from this distillery and is hard to beat in terms of exclusivity, both visually and in terms of taste. This strictly limited single malt whiskey is made from the distillery's 10 best barrels, which were painstakingly selected. These include very, very old single malt whiskeys, of which Macallan only has very few. This exceptional whiskey is presented in a crystal decanter which has of course been individually numbered to underline its exclusivity. The manufacturer of the decanter is Lalique, probably the most famous glass manufacturer in the world. The 6 facets of the elegant decanter reflect and refract the light and thus bring the dark Macallan whiskey to life.
