North Star Spirits Milk & Honey 4 Year Old M&H Single Cask Series 23 (2023) 70cl

Milk & Honey from Israel are a fascinating company. The whisky first goes down in ABV and then due to the climate, goes back up in ABV all; the while losing water from the casks.

North Star Spirits have teamed up with them to produce a spectacular example of what M&H do best. We have tried a large part of their range (coming soon) where some are even aged by the dead sea. This is a single cask bottled at a not for the faint hearted 64.2% ABV. Some of their casks even go to 67%.

Milk & Honey is one of the leading Israeli whisky distilleries, but is still relatively hard to get hold of in the UK. This North Star bottling is from a single refill hogshead cask from the 2019 vintage that yielded 198 bottles at its brutal natural cask strength of 64.2%, so you might need a drop of water to get the best out of it.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Ripe fruits (Banana, Papaya). Melting butter on malt loaf.

Palate: Big wave of ripe fruit and sweet oak. Very warming.

Finish: Oaky, buttery & fruity. How a bath bomb should be.
