Penderyn Sherrywood Welsh Single Malt Whisky (2021) 70cl

A bottle of the popular Welsh whisky Penderyn, this has been finished in Sherry casks, after an initial maturation in American oak.

Penderyn Sherrywood is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks - a change from their classic expression, which is finished in Madeira casks.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Glace cherry, malt loaf, praline, hazelnuts, floral notes and runny honey.

Palate: Toasted nuts, praline, madeira cake or sherry soaked trifle sponge, figs, sultana, buttery oak.

Finish: Madeira cake, glace cherry, nutty spice, mocha/praline, honey on brown toast.
