A bottle of the well-established mauve-packaged 18 Year Old Springbank. The multi-award-winning Campbeltown single malt has been matured in ex-bourbon casks, so expect a big, coastal, oily flavour from this one.

Springbank 18 Years Old 2024 is a classic, full-bodied dram from the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. The 2024 edition was fully matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon casks, and is bottled at 46%. Tropical fruits such as papaya and pineapple are at the forefront on the nose, joined by aromas of malty dried barley, vanilla and custard creams. Notes of golden syrup and honeyed granola emerge on the palate, along with fruit gums, pear drops and butter icing. The tropical fruits carry through to the finish, complemented by a herbaceous gorse note and a touch of sea salt.

Our 18 year old is full of authority and is a classic, full-bodied dram. With a delicious nose, this whisky will tempt you in and hold your attention as you uncover its unique palate and finish.

Nose

The sherry influence is immediately apparent on the nose, with notes of medjool dates, raisins and demerara sugar. Notes of blueberry, fondant icing, lemon drizzle and fig jam provide a welcoming introduction to this dram.

Palate

There is a creaminess on the palate with notes of cappucinno foam and tiramisu. Muddled strawberries, Christmas cake, marzipan and cinnamon notes add to this well-rounded dram.

Finish

A sweet and juicy finish with notes of syrup and sugared shortbread.
