This bottle is only available to Springbank Society members. It is tough enough to get the core range of Springbank. This is extremely limited.
This is bottled with a beautiful dark brown colour coming from a sherry cask at the distillery and fresh from it. Like a Handfill but chosen especially for the Springbank Society members which closed its doors to new members years ago.

The family owned Springbank is unique in that it remains the only distillery in Scotland where 100% of the production process is carried out on site, and while it produces three distinct styles (in Springbank, Longrow, and Hazelburn), its eponymous Springbank expression still accounts for the lion’s share of production. A medium peated, two and a half times distilled spirit, Springbank is complex, robust and never boring!

Springbank only produces 264,000 litres per year and cannot expand due to the constraints of the land and technology which is NOT used to make whisky.

For a period, Campbeltown was the undisputed Whisky Capital of World, boasting over 30 distilleries operating simultaneously at its peak. Locally available peat, barley and coal, coupled with a quick steamship service to Glasgow meant this thriving industry lasted into the early 20th Century. Alas; ultimately (and perhaps inevitably) it proved unsustainable, and by 1935 the bubble had well and truly burst, with only Springbank and Glen Scotia distilleries remaining.
