This is the very first Gran Reserva Tamdhu matured in Oloroso Hogsheads in a special segment chosen for their rich flavours and married together to form this Speyside Single Malt. The result is a thick, malty dram that serves up notes of cherries, strawberries In syrup, sweet malt, mango, melons, slight mint and oats, slightly bitter oak, cream and powdered spice.

While all Tamdhu matures exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, Gran Reserva First Edition goes further still. They’ve hand-selected the very finest first-fill Oloroso casks from Jerez – in other words, the very best of the best. These exceptionally expensive casks are the pinnacle of sherry cask maturation, which bestow upon the whisky two great gifts: rich mahogany colour and outstanding taste. Fittingly, they bottle Gran Reserva un-chill filtered, just as nature intended.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Rich sherry oak, almond toffee, light citrus and cloves.

Pallate: Sherry sweetness and complex oak, with a tingle of zest, spice and soft fruit.

Finish: Beautifully balanced cinnamon, vanilla and dark chocolate.
