Whiskyland Chapter Eight is a single refill hogshead of 1994 Tomatin, aged for 30 years and bottled at natural cask strength.

Please be warned that this whisky is extremely fruity, juicy and exquisite. As such, please refrain from wearing the new All-Automatic Opinion Digitiser 3000 while tasting it. The intensity of the opinions it will induce could potentially be sufficient to crash the internet a destabilise Whiskyland. You will just have to sit quietly and drink this whisky by yourself or in the physical company of other people, like it was done in ye olden times.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Green and exotic fruit pulp, with that overripe funkiness to it. Also citrus teas, crystalised honey, crushed nettles and slightly metallic and waxy impressions of old Irish pot still whiskey. Very characterful and typical older Tomatin.

Palate: Lovely honeyed and waxy combination, with many dried and crystalised exotic fruit notes such as pineapple, papaya, guava and mango. Also lemon oils and slightly herbal notes.

Finish: Long, more cereal-driven, nicely oily, some waxes and more exotic fruit returning for the aftertaste.
