Tomintoul Campbell's Special Highland Whisky Original Recipe (1980s) 70cl
An odd rarity of a bottle produced by Tomintoul for the company Campbell's Spirits.
It is quite strong at 57% however not much literature exists on this one to investigate.
The Campbells Tomintoul Special was a bottling done by Peter Campbell a local shopkeeper in village of Tomintoul and is not connected to the any official distillery bottlings.
believe this wasn’t a blend but a blended malt made up of 5 single malts from whiskies sourced by Mr Campbell and bottled by Gordon and Macphail.
I also believe the bottle was on the market before the distillery was built in 1965. When Mr Campbell passed away the blend recipe was passed to his daughter who still lives in the village. She hasn’t sourced any of the whiskies or carried out a bottling for a number of years and the only bottles now available are the ones which appear
