Tormore 30 Year Old 1991 (cask 15386) Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail) 70cl
This terrific Tormore single malt is brought to us by Gordon & MacPhail as part of the independent Connoisseurs Choice series. Matured for 30 years in a single refill sherry butt between 1991 and 2021, the cask finally yielded an outturn of 488 bottles, at a cask strength of 55.7% ABV.
About Connoisseurs Choice:
The 'Connoisseurs Choice' range broke innovative new ground, giving a platform to many of Scotland’s single malt distilleries from across all regions, some of which had never before been bottled as a single malt.
Over the past five decades, we have maintained our belief that every distillery has a personality of its own. The collection of whiskies in the 'Connoisseurs Choice' range is constantly evolving, aiming always to highlight the unique characteristics of the individual distilleries.
The 'Connoisseurs Choice' collection brings together rare and sought after single malts from some of Scotland’s longest established distilleries; we mature and bottle spirit from distilleries as diverse as Caol Ila on the island of Islay to Strathmill in Speyside.
From Tormore Distillery (cask strength)
Passion for single malt Scotch whisky has been at the heart of our family business for four generations. This range is an ever-changing collection of unique perspectives on distilleries’ own bottlings, non-chill-filtered single cask and small batch expressions bottled at cask strength — exceptional one-offs.
SHERRY influences combine with ripe BLACKCURRANT and CHARRED OAK. Rich PRESSED APPLE aromas develop alongside subtle GRAPEFRUIT.
Sweet TOFFEE flavours complement CINNAMON and GINGER SPICE. RASPBERRY COMPOTE comes to the fore accompanied by DEMERARA SUGAR and ROASTED HAZELNUTS.
