Bimber Spirit Of the Underground Green Park Release No.4 Moscatel Single Cask #433 English Single Malt Whisky (2022) 70cl

1 of 285 bottles produced from a single Moscatel cask

This single cask release drawn from a MOSCATEL CASK celebrates Green Park station.

Opened in 1906, Green Park was originally named Dover Street. The station has undergone several major improvements over the years, including the completion of the Jubilee line extension which saw the reinstatement of the Hans Unger tile designs within the seat recesses of the Victoria line. The station is sited to the north of the Royal Park of the same name which features no lakes or buildings, but a range of post-war era monuments.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE: Baked apples and peach melba join tonka and coffee beans whilst macadamia nuts are scattered atop of gingerbread.

PALATE: An elegant combination of orchard and stone fruits that develops into orange jelly, pineapple chunks and chocolate and vanilla choux buns.

FINISH: Sustained brown sugars together with mentholated oakiness.

About Bimber

The founders of London's Bimber distillery, Dariusz and Ewelina, moved from Poland to the UK in 2003, opening their distillery in the Park Royal area of west London twelve years later. Plazewski inherited his passion for whisky from his grandfather, who also distilled his own spirits. The company’s first casks were laid down on the 26th May 2016, and three years later they released their first single malt in September 2019. This became the first whisky to be distilled and bottled in London for over a century. The distillery carries a “farm-to-bottle” approach by sourcing 100% of its barley from a single producer and using traditional floor maltings and slow fermentation techniques. Distillation takes place via a 1,000-litre wash still and a 600-litre spirit still that were both crafted by Hoga of Spain.
