Famous Grouse Scottish Oak Finish - 2005 Release
This old bottling of Famous Grouse is very intriguing for two reasons. The first is that unusual 50cl bottle, a size the popular blend doesn't often use, but the other is the more interesting ageing process, which entailed finishing the whisky in Scottish oak casks for three years. That's also a nice presentation box.
A very limited edition of Famous Grouse exploring an option that isn't often used in whisky making - Scottish Oak. This is a version of their blend that has been married in Scottish Oak casks for three years before bottling for a richer and fruitier dram.
