Mars Kumamoto Bartenders Project Blended Whisky 70cl

This is a whisky limited edition with a total number of 6000 bottles.

Following the Kumamoto Earthquake in April 2016, local bartenders affected by the disaster established the "Kumamoto Bartenders Project (KBP)" to support the region's recovery.

This original blended whisky was created as part of this initiative.
Bottled in collaboration with renowned whisky researcher Mamoru Tsuchiya, this expression is a blend of multiple whiskies.

It features a faint peaty aroma and a soft, lingering finish.

*Hombo Shuzo proudly supported the project as a cooperating partner. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the "Kumamoto Castle Disaster Recovery Support Fund" through the KBP to aid in the restoration and reconstruction of Kumamoto Castle.

*(The KBP is a voluntary organization founded by Kumamoto bartenders with the mission of "bringing vitality back to our hometown, Kumamoto.")

The limited blend was released in 2016. While westerners are becoming more interested in Japanese spirits like nihonshu, shochu, and awamori, the Land of the Rising Sun hasn't let that deter it from branching out into new frontiers.

About Mars

Mars Whisky is a Japanese brand by Hombo Shuzo, known for its distinct distilleries and diverse whisky profiles. The brand operates the Komagatake Distillery in the high-altitude Japanese Alps, producing delicate whiskies, and the Tsunuki Distillery in the subtropical south of Kyushu, which crafts more robust, smoky spirits. Their whisky is often characterized by pure water sources, unique climates, and innovative techniques, resulting in smooth, balanced whiskies with notes of fruit, spice, and oak.
