A whisky of impressive maturity and depth: This 52-year-old blended grain Scotch whisky from North Star Spirits' Cask Series #027 was distilled in 1973 and matured for over half a century in an Oloroso sherry cask . The result is an exceptionally complex dram that combines the elegance of very old grain whiskies with the spicy depth of a sherry cask. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 51.9% ABV , it retains its full aromatic complexity.

Over five decades of maturation have given the whisky an impressive complexity: velvety texture, deep sweetness and a finely interwoven spiciness typical of long-matured grain whiskies.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Elegant beeswax opens the nose, accompanied by dark, ripe melon, demerara sugar, and sumptuous dried figs. Warm sherry spices and a hint of aged wood polish develop behind.

Palate: Silky and intense at the same time. Dark chocolate meets luxurious truffle pralines with a fine espresso crema. This is complemented by notes of caramelized sweetness, ripe dried fruit, and gentle oak spice.

Finish: Dried orange, nutmeg & honey
