TASTING NOTES
NOSE: Rich and fragrant. Old leather, toffee and fruit cake, malty with a hint of smoke.
PALATE: Full-bodied and mellow. Beautifully balanced rich smokiness with ginger marmalade, sweet honeyed fruit and slightly peppery.
FINISH: Spicy and smoky, long lasting and satisfying.
About Pure Scot
A trailblazer in his own right, David Prior is an Australian businessman, surfer and long-time Scotch Whisky lover. In 2015, David Prior became the first Australian to ever own a Scotch Whisky distillery. Bladnoch Distillery was founded in 1817 by two Scottish brothers in the rugged Lowlands region and it’s here that Pure Scot Blended Scotch Whisky was brought to life some 200 years later.
Created with the help of with Whisky legend, Charles Maclean, Pure Scot’s range of blended Scotch Whiskies have won over a dozen gold medals at international spirits competitions for its smooth, spicy, refreshing taste. Today, the innovation of Pure Scot’s whisky range is led by acclaimed Master Distiller, Dr Nick Savage, at Bladnoch Distillery.
Pure Scot is inspired by Australian and Scottish nature and is committed to protecting the natural environment and reducing its impact. Our team’s is passionate about partnering with environmental foundations such as Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef and Greening Australia to support them in their missions. In 2020, Pure Scot joined 1% for the Planet, committing to donating at least 1% of its sales each year to environmental initiatives.
