Suntory Excellence Pot Still Decanter Japanese Blended Malt Whisky (1980s) 76cl

An older distillery exclusive decanter from the Suntory distillery (Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita).

This contains blended malt which presumably is from Yamazaki and Hakushu although it could contain other single malts from Japan which at the time of bottling indicate Mars or Karuizawa. Either way we have tasted this and it is a little musky and a beautiful experience.

TASTING NOTES

The palate has good spicy notes of clove, cinnamon, allspice, and ginger with touches of honey and red apples that add balance. The finish has subtle spicy notes that last for a long time with a good underlying sweetness
