Very little is known about Old Joe from Josiah Stallard & Sons that ran from 1890s until 1980. 

The quality of the liquid cannot be guaranteed as in the 50s they did not have the same SWA Regulation as they had today. This includes Whiskies labelled as Liqueurs despite only containing whisky and 70 Proof being equal to 40% alcohol on the UK system (not the US one of halving the proof)
