Jim Beam 8 Year Old Bowling Pin 230th Anniversary Limited Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (2025) 75cl
The 2026 Beam’s Ten-Pin Bottle is the latest limited-edition release from Jim Beam, reviving a collectible decanter design that dates back to the 1950s. The bottle will be available exclusively at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky.
The return follows Jim Beam’s 2025 release of the Beam Pin Bottle, an 8-year-old bourbon packaged in a similar bowling pin-shaped decanter to celebrate the distillery’s 230th anniversary. The 2026 version ups both the age and proof, with the bourbon aged for 10 years in new charred American oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof, or 50% alcohol by volume.
The Ten-Pin decanter traces its roots to the thousands of collectible bottles produced by the Beam family from the 1940s through the 1990s. The bowling pin design was reportedly a favourite of Jim Beam himself, who gave the bottles to friends, family and business associates.
The release was part of Jim Beam Day at the Clermont distillery, with special programming including a tasting of vintage Jim Beam expressions, bottle customization opportunities and other experiences centered around the brand’s history.
TASTING NOTES
Aromas of rich oak, vanilla, baked bread and caramel. The palate brings notes of toffee, toasted oak, baking spices and fruit, followed by a long, warm finish with lingering oak and subtle sweetness.
About Jim Beam
The Beam family (anglicised from the German surname Böhm in the 18th century) are the greatest dynasty in all of American distilling, with members involved in nearly every Kentucky distillery during the 20th century. Perhaps none more important however than James "Jim" Beauregard Beam, who rebuilt his family business following the repeal of Prohibition, re-opening the famous Clermont distillery in 1935. The company is now the best-selling bourbon brand in the world (due to Jack Daniel's refusing to be categorised as such). They operate two Kentucky distilleries, the eponymous Jim Beam in Clermont and the Booker Noe distillery in nearby Boston, and since their purchase of National Distillers in 1987 also have a wealth of historic brands under their banner. Since 2014 the company has been a subsidiary of Suntory in Japan, which has widened its portfolio into the Scotch and Japanese whisky industries as well.
