Kyoto Nishijin Miyako Ori Aka-Obi Red Belt Label Japanese Blended Whisky (2022) 70cl

A blended Japanese whisky produced at Kyoto Shuzo which is made up of malt and grain whisky, some of which were imported to Japan.

Interestingly, this whisky was bottled before the introduction of Japanese whisky labelling standards in February 2021. Going forward, all Japanese whiskies must must ensure their products meet strict requirements when it comes to raw materials, production location, water, distillation, ageing, packaging, colouring and strength if they want to label their product as a Japanese whisky.

A traditional craft known as Nishijin-ori was used to produce the fabric label. This craft originated in the city of Kyoto.
