New Louisville Barrel House 11 Year Old Hazmat Single Barrel #A71 'Not In A Rush' Limited Edition High Rickhouse Floor 147.4 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (2026) 75cl
The oldest age of release for Nulu owned New Louisville Barrel House. A limit pushing 73.7% ABV with a tonne of flavour. We have tried this a couple of times and to be honest it drinks more like a 72%!
By the time 11 years pass of high rickhouse floor aging, there is not mjuch in the barrel so the high price represents the very very low outturn from the one barrel A71. The exact quantity is unknown but we are told it is less than 80 bottles.
In a Rickhouse, the higher stacked barrels often go up in ABV and mature at a higher intensity also due to the water evaporating. So it turns out it is not simply bourbon with a higher ABV for the sake of it. It is just not so common to be daring to venture into this territory. It is not for the faint mouthed let us say.
This single barrel straight bourbon whiskey has been selected to exemplify premium whiskey. The name New Louisville refers to our vision and passion to set new trends. This limited edition single barrel offering showcases passion from a producer that strive to bottle only the best. Curated by our tasting team, we taste thousands of barrels and begin planning. New Louisville Whiskey Co barrels have been in our plans for years, having been earmarked for a special day. Today marks that day, this barrel has reached peak maturity. Enjoy this viscous, balanced long story in a bottle. Cheers!
A portion of the maturation took place at PCS Distilling’s warehouse where the barrel was heat-cycled, introducing temperature variation to raise proof and viscosity.
About New Louisville Whiskey Co
Prohibition Craft Spirits Distilling Company, the Louisville-based producers of NULU and Hazelbaker whiskeys, debuts its single barrel collection under the name “New Louisville Whiskey Co.”. These barrels are earmarked in the warehouse for this exclusive, private barrel label that features bourbons bottled at peak maturity with a minimum eight years of age.
Nulu has been on a roll lately. With seemingly endless special editions, small batch experiments and ever-increasing distribution, it’s hard to ignore the growing amount of Nulu on store shelves. Created in 2016 by Prohibition Craft Spirits, Nulu represents the core brand for the Louisville based non-distilling producer. PCS sources these expressions from Ross and Squibb distillery (formerly MGP) but applies their own take on finishing and blending to create everything from single barrels, toasted finishes, Calvados cask finishes, wine casks, brandy finishes, French oak and much more.
Nulu = New Louisville.
