In early June 2026, Potter Jane Distillery's Denny Potter and Jane Bowie announced they are releasing an aged "sourced" whiskey despite their original plans to wait for their own to mature because "we just missed it." The admission arrived not with corporate spin or a polished PR release, but with something far more disarming: a self-roasting apology wrapped in one of the most cleverly named bourbons in recent memory.

About Potter Jane

Potter Jane Distillery is a new-generation whiskey distillery located in Springfield, Kentucky. Founded by industry veterans Jane Bowie and Denny Potter, the distillery aims to produce bourbon that reflects their love for the industry. The distillery is designed with quality at the forefront and is rooted in tradition. It is expected to be operational by early 2025, with plans to produce 45,000 barrels annually. The distillery will feature a 36-foot column still, two 10,000-gallon mash tubs, and ten 20,000-gallon fermenters, with a total capacity of 15 warehouses. The whiskey produced will focus on fermentation and entering whiskeys into the barrel at a lower entry proof, maintaining the traditional bourbon experience.
